I'm just testing out how to use photos and text in this blog.

This is Chinon, where we went last summer, the tourist information office in the foreground, the lane leading up to the castle, whose turret pops up above the trees.

And to the right is the same flag you can see near the turret, when we'd climbed to the top and were the king and queen of the castle. Well, Sam clung to the inner wall, while I leaned on the parapet.

This piece is just a little tester really, checking whether I can handle text and photos in this blog. And it's a taster. I need to get back to other pressing work at the moment, but some serious blogging time is needed soon, I think.

Bye for now.

Well They Would Do Wouldn't They?

It's their little hands you see. They find it difficult to grasp the steering wheel. So they have to drive slowly. Stands to reason.

This picture was taken near Applethwaite on a lovely walk we did from Keswick across the fields to some woods near Bassenthwaite lake.

On top of Walla Crag near Keswick in England's Lake District after a hike with my wife. Bliss.
